Hey ya'll, been a while since I've needed any help. Hope everyone's doing fantastic!
I acquired a classic finned runabout last week that's got a nice 1967 Evinrude Lark IX with the electric gearcase. Unscrewed the drain and a little bit of water came out with the oil. Since the boat's been sitting for a while it looks like the leak is the prop shaft seal. Is that seal fairly easy to press out and replace?
Another thing, will a little bit of water wreak havoc on the shift coils? Can I touch a battery to the shift leads and tell if they are working? I have the gearcase removed and on a table right now.
Tell OBJ I said hi, it's been quite a while since I've talked to him.
Mike
