I know it's an old boat and all, but is there anything I can do to make it easier and smoother to move the throttle lever? Are there grease fittings that I should be greasing? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You probably would need to replace the cable(s) and grease the internals of the controller. Cables are only about $20 a piece.

Carefull if you dissasemble the controller, I've seen more than one post around here from people that had difficulty gettin them back together and working again.

You can disconnect the cable from the motor and make sure all the throttle actuations within the motor move freeley and don't need attention first though.
