Hey there...
I would appreciate any help that you guys could give. Recently bought a boat that had been stored for about 4 years. Motor is a 1967 Johnson outboard....20HP....model fd 21. Wanted to see if I could get it running quick before I put her away until next year. Tank is good, replaced fuel line and bulb. Pulled the spark plugs and made sure I had spark...i do. I crank and crank with not much response. If I take out the plugs and put some fuel mix in to prime, she comes to life briefly and then dies. I have not replaced plugs yet.....might do that. HELP!

Fuel pump? Or like bond-o says, crap in the fuel system. You'd be surpised what gasoline turns into after a while! It sure don't look [or act] like gas anymore.

By the way, you might be better off in the outboard forum, this is the inboard side. ;)
Right church, wrong pew.
