1967 evinrude lower unit replacment

i have a 1967 100 horsepower electronic shift evenrude im not sure thelower unit is in good condition so im looking for one that is rebuilt or at least in working condition

Being not sure and knowing might cost you some $$$$. What are the problems that make you unsure if the lower unit is good?
