1967 Evenrude Sportsman (stern drive)

Motor V6 155hp runs fine and idles.<br />Can't seem to get it to go forward or reverse. <br />Also, water pump on V6 motor is turning fine.<br />but it still runs hot because it's not moving the water. there's no water in the enggine for it to move. Hi Stan,<br />It is an electric shift.I can't remember the wire color,but think it was red,blue,&white.<br />Anyway they come out of the control box and run to a white plastic connector,this switch needs to have conunity to run 12volts to the electro-magnents in the lower unit. Test it with a VOM. The wire also runs through the transom and could be checked there. Look for the small knife connectors with a rubber tube covering them.<br />...good luck...corm

Hello Stan<br />Are you sure that Drive shaft are proper installed in the Power head.<br />It look to me as if there are no connection to Lower Unit.<br />Bye<br />Mikael-Block
