I have recently acquired an 1965 ALPEX 14' with a 1966 Johnson Sea Horse 60HP VXL-12R. It does not have a tach and I would like to put one in. I have the SELOC manual, it doesn't show any kind of wiring for it. Do you have any idea how I would hook one up? I tried to look at some of the other posts and looked at the Teleflex website. They didn't go back far enough in the installation directions. I also went to Faria's website, same thing.<br />I have an electrician background and am fully capable of installing the wiring, or even building a new wiring harness. I just don't know where to hook the wires up to. I have worked on automobiles and aircraft, but never an outboard. <br />Any thoughts or assistance would be appreciated.
