Does anyone know what the factory pitch was for a 1966 Johnson 33hp Super Seahorse Longshaft Outboard? The model # is RXEL-14D. I pulled the old prop off to see what size it was but it has been abused by someones bench grinder and spray painted blaze orange ( I dunno, maybe he was a deer hunter). Hence I couldn't find a single # to save my tail. Thanks guys.

To answer my own post : In 1966 the factory prop size for the 33hp long shaft Johnson Seahorse was a 10 1/2 x 12 . Took me a few days but I finally found it.

Re: 1966 Johnson 33hp Prop Size.

There were other props available for it - I believe that they ranged from 10" to 14" in pitch. All were about 10-3/8ths to 10-1/2 inches in diameter.

The biggest problem with them these days is availability. Most prop sales shops have a very limited selection in terms of pitch. One of my favorites, Tacoma Propeller, only has the 11-1/2" and 12" pitch props left. They are also most likely selling Michigan Match props for this engine, so most of the other places will be likely to have the same limitation.
