I am really surprised at how many used electric start parts are found. It would seem to me that there are more people looking for them than were ever built in the first place. But go ahead and search. Be prepared for the laws of supply and demand.
In the old days folks were happy to own an outboard motor.----Perhaps folks were more fit then ?------Did not demand electric start as a rule.-----Relatively speaking they were more expensive then.-----More dollars today but cheaper in my opinion.
Lots of wrong listing of starters.----You need a starter for the 22 cubic inch block.-----Marketed from 58 to 76.-----Folks ask for a lot of coins just for the bracket.-----Wires / solenoids / start button are easy to get.-----Post pictures of online stuff.---Folks here will advise as to whether it is a good deal.
