1966 110 hp mercury inline 6 rectifier

hi,

i think i need a rectifier but i can not find it anywhere if comparing it to the rest

most of the rectifier i saw here are square with 3 terminals, the one i have on my boat is RECTANGLE and all the 3 terminals on one side.

the size on mine right now is 1" X 1 1/2" X 3 "

is it safe to use the square one( black in color)
