This is a longshaft with aftermarket remote control setup little 9.5 trolling motor which does great on my 19 footer. There probably are only a few longshafts 9.5s.
Anyways, the problem is water coming out from between the outer cover and the exhaust housing. The water is cold while at the same time there still is a healthy stream of warmer water coming out of the rear exhaust port, but it is almost as if there is no water going down the exhaust housing because that is full of oily gunk, even though i run it at a good clip with a 1:50 mix. There is no water leakage from the engine into the cowling.
Did any of you good people ever see this?
I could really use some pointers on this one before tearing into my little outboard.
Thanks ahead of time for your help, opinions and solutions.

If the water coming out is what I think it is, it is absolutely normal, so you can sleep tonight without worry. It is coming from the drain holes that are provided for the water that escapes from the drive shaft hole in the water pump housing. If it were not for the drain holes, water would back up and cause serious engine damage.
