When I bought this motor (18hp fastwin) the factory kill switch was not hooked up to anything. Now that I have it running good, and I cant kill it by simply throttling down (a good thing right1?!?!) I need a way to kill the engine besides choking it. I would like to hook the switch back up but have no clue where the wires go. The manual does not even mention the kill switch in it (i have just about read it cover to cover). Any insight?

You should see two black wires coming out from under your mag plate. These hook up to the kill switch. They may have possibly been removed or mag plate assembly was replaced, if you don't find any wires they hook up too.

If you look at the diagram on this link, You'll see the wires listed as items 42 - 46

So if you cant find those 2 black wires you will have to choke it to stop it or adjust the idle screw way down so that you can throttle down to kill it.

Btw, I was running my '62 Evinrude 18hp today on my pontoon boat. A great engine.

The kill wires hook onto the points on the same screw that the condensers screw to.

Quick question on the same theme...

I have the 2 wires coming out from under the plate that run to the kill switch. My wires going to the kill switch are missing. I'll replace these soon but I want to test the motor for other needs before I place an order.

How can I bypass these or hook them together to see if my motor has spark?

You should start a new thread for this question. But the answer is, the engine will run fine as long as those two wires from under the mag plate are not shorted out together or to ground. It they short out or ground, one of both coils will not fire.
