Can anyone direct me where to find diagram of fuel lines? There were no lines on it when i got it. I have cleaned carb and replaced all gaskets and am dying to try and start it!
Speaking generically::
assuming a single line system If the motor connector is in place a line goes from the connector to the in on the fuel pump
and another line goes from the out on the pump to the carb.Run the lines so they don't brub on things or things rub on them.
If there is a filter obviously go to the filter first.
HI terry. The fuel system is pretty simple. You'll have a single line gas tank with OMC fittings. You'll then have a fuel line (often grey when marine grade) with a quick release OMC fitting, a length of hose, then a manual primer bulb (with the arrow on the bulb pointing towards the motor) followed by another length of fuel line finished with another quick release OMC fitting. The motor will/should also have a factory OMC fitting mounted at the base of the tiller. The fuel line from the tank "clicks" in to this fitting. There is then a thick-walled fuel line leading from the back of the motor's fuel fitting to the IN nipple on the fuel pump. There will then be a normal wall sized fuel line leading from the OUT nipple on the pump to the carb and that's it. I know it may sound like a lot, but you can get all the bits you need at any Wal-mart, or boat store. Plastic fuel tanks and the primer hose and bulb are surprisingly pricey, but the fuel lines under the cowl of the motor can be had at any auto parts store for a few $ a foot. Remember that the line coming from the tank to the fuel pump will need to be thick-walled. You can also use marine grade or clear fuel lines. Here's a parts catalog of your motor.
