I have had a 1962 Seamaid 16' Seaknight for a couple years. We have done some modifications and love the boat. I would like to know more about the manufacturer and who bough them out. I have heard it was StarCraft but can't find proof ! I did find some info and specs on Fiberglassics but that's about it. Can anyone tell me more?

One of your fights on the internet is going to be that Century made a boat called the Sea Maid, and it's one of the vintage boats that get's some press. You'll have to sift through a TON of Google entries to get past that. You may have some better results by contacting the libraries in Indiana where Seamaid was based and see if they have anything the reference area.

Welcome aboard.

the other thing you will find is that there literally are hundreds of thousands of boat manufacturers that have come and gone over the years. many of which have disappeared long before the internet was ever a twinkle in a ARPANET scientists minds, or when TCP/IP made it possible for the web as we know it. so if there are records and information it would only be in print form. as 'kogs stated, hit the pavement and travel to Kendalsville and check out the library

Thank you all for the comments ! I will see if I can get access to the Library. I have a friend in Indiana who may be able to help.
