1962 Mercury model 110 9.8 2 cycle (Kiekhaefer)

I'm posting this for a friend. I don't have any other information on this outboard.
This part he's looking for attaches underneath the flywheel area.

Any idea what it is and where he might get another one?

The picture doesn't show the break, but it broke at each end at those thin middle-sections (it broke in half).
TIG welding might be possible, but being made of that aluminum pot-metal, it may turn into a puddle of gray goo instead  .

Thank you,

WOW! I didn't think I could stump the guru's on this site, but I guess there's a first time for everything!

Anyone? :joyous:

That is the throttle cam and it is listed as obsolete and no longer available at every single website I checked. You would probably have to keep an eye out on ebay or find an old 110 that is being sold for parts, it is not going to be an easy part to find in this day.

It is number 34 on this diagram:

Thanks everyone for the replies! This is great news. I forgot all about the PM's. Shows how much I pay attention... LOL
My friend will be ecstatic over the information! He was just about ready to throw in the towel but I told him I would check with this forum as they haven't failed me yet.

Good thing I did!
