I just rebuilt the carb, fuel filter, fuel pump, and STILL it starts, runs high RPM at IDLE, but yet when you put in gear/under load, it boggs like it's running on ONE CYL? It only has two cyln! LOL I think the only thing is the points, coil, and condensor? I have great compression, new plugs, no "air leaks", and again, I thought it was a fuel prob, but it wasn't? Someone posted that 1960's Johnson coils/points could or as he said, "Happens more than not", cause my problem? HELP.............

It's time to check the ignition system over. Check the coils out and make sure they're in good condition and no cracks. If they're cracked, they like to arc out on the mag plate. They also will be more apt to do so, out on the water, because of the higher humidity.
I'm guessing that someone turned up the throttle stop, to keep it running.
