1962, 28 HP evinrude - Need carb kit and diaphram

Good evening!

My dad recently gave me a 16ft princecraft boat with a 1962, 28 HP evinrude outboard. It had been sitting in a shed for the last 16 years. I took it to a mechanic who replaced all the bottom end seals and got it running. We took it out on the weekend to adjust the idle and throttle, etc and I'm pretty sure the carb is pretty gummed up, not to mention all the little seals/o-rings are likely dried out and falling apart. It ran pretty well and wanted to get up to speed a couple times but it just couldn't.

I'm looking for a carb kit for the motor. I've searched on here but couldn't find one based on the MODEL # and S/N I have from the motor. I was hoping someone here might be able to provide me a part number or point me in the direction of where I might find used service manual.

The MODEL # is 28203C
The S/N is 50168

I'm also looking for the diaphram in the fuel pump. According to the mechanic there is a pinhole leak in it I figured I woudl fix that too while I'm at it.

Here is a parts breakdown for your engine, you can look up the parts you need.

Thanks! This was a huge help. I was able to order the carb kit and the diaphragm no probelm. It really helped toy have part numbers.

I also appreciate the guidance in terms of findng a service manual. I was hoping I might be able to find online instructions/diagrams specific to the carb cleaning and rebuild. It's the only job I need to do right now and rather than waiting for the manual to be delivered, I was hoping to dive right in so I can enjoy this greaet weather out of the water.

Does anyone know of an online resource that would provide the step by step to carb cleaning and rebuild?

Hi Tigersfan77. Here's a link that shows how to rebuild a carb. It's for a different model than yours, but the basic steps are the same.
