I just aquired the above mentioned motor and was reading another post about the spark on this motor and was interested in the part CATransplant was saying about the two wires that come from under the flywheal. Acording to the post the one wire comes from under the flywheal and goes to the vacume cutoff swich and the other one goes directley to the plug on the engine. I have been through the whole engine and the only thing I can find wrong with it is the wire that plugs directly into the engine is not plugged into anything and I cant find were it goes. The post I am talking about was from 2005 so if you read this CATransplant I hope you can remember and help me out or anyone else that could help I would sure apriciate the help.

If one of the kill wires is not hooked to anything and not grounded, then it will not be the cause of any issues. It normally runs back to the ignition switch M terminal.
The kill wire that runs to the stud on the vacuum switch also goes to the ignition switch and is attached to the other M terminal, where it would be shorted to the other kill wire (attached to the other M terminal) when the switch is in the "off" position.

In other words the two black wires are for stopping the motor. If you are dealing with a wont-run situation, look elsewhere.

ITS ALIVE!!!! Thanks for all the help. I got this motor on saturday for 100 bucks and im sure I will have some more questions but it sure felt good to hear it fire and know my money wasnt wasted. I still have to go through the carb and put the lower unit back on before puting it in the water and see how well it will run. For now I just sprayed some fuel into the carb and it fired right off. By the way this motor dosnt have a pee hole so I assume the water comes out with the exhaust. how can I tel if its circulating water through the motor with the motor in a barrel.

There is an exhaust relief valve halfway up the back of the leg that will blow out water. In a barrel, you should fill it up as high as you can get it.
