1960 75hp outboard wont re-start after its run for awhile

I have the carb rebuilt thepoints,condencer,plugs,wires,andcoil are brand new.IT starts pretty good and runs well wide open.It idles at times less than good .After I run it for an hour or so and turn it off, it wont re-start for about an hour or so.Any ideas?.Thanks,Bluebelin@aol.com Powell,Tn.

I forgot to mention that this motor is a 1960 75hp v-4 JOHSON outboard.Sorry for any confusion.Thanks
