1959 mark 28a 22hp impeller issues

I need help trying to locate my water pump impeller on my motor
any suggestions or manuals i can get would be greatly appreciated

You have one of those motors with the " slingky spring " gear shift.----The impeller is up above the transmission.----Not a fun job and special tools may be required.-----------Manual is a must.

Find ------western newyork chapter---- of the --aomci-----there you will find a parts book listed.

thinking back, the last time that the motor was ran, the lower unit was out of oil. un known to me ( i got this motor on barter for a tent and some cots) could that be the only problem and in fact the impeller is good? this motor looks great on my old boat really wanting to get it running good again

Have one myself.-I have some never used impellers but they have been on the shelf a long time.-------With the large variety of impellers today it should be possible to find a fit / adapt a newer one to fit the Mark 28.----You will get comments / complements if your Mark 28 starts in a couple of pulls.

The manual you require is 90-25500.
