1959 johnson 35hp super seahorse problem

I bought it the other day for $100 and theres no wiring harness in it accept for the coils and i have 2 wires hanging of someone could tell me what they are for and how to get around this so i can start the motor. My top cylinder has spark bottom doesnt i have no idea if the cutout switch is good.

It will start and run with those two wires disconnected.

What about the other wire going to the center post of the cut out switch? It wont run even with those 2 wires disconnected

I'm telling you that it will start and run with the two black wires coming from the bottom of the mag plate disconnected. Any thief from back in "The Day" knows that.

As for the rest of the wires, look at the diagram.

Time to pull the flywheel and see what's wrong in there. All, and I mean all, 1959 Johnson twins have bad (cracked) coils unless they have already been replaced.
