Does anyone know where I can obtain the Factory Service manual for my 59 Evinrude 35hp, model 35516? I've got a Seloc, but it doesn't go into enough detail for me. Is there a version floating around somewhere, or somewhere I can pick one up?

A word for the wise: The factory manual for that motor wasn't very good. Probably worse than the Seloc. Find a 10th edition of the Johnson Factory Service manual. It is a very good book to learn from. 35hp Evinrude and Johnsons were identical except for the shrouds

Man, you guys are the best. I would've bought the expensive manual, and probably been disappointed. Thanks everyone!

Looking through that manual, it has so much more detail that the factory manual for my '75 40EL75

It has some of the best pics of the electric shift gear disassembly I've seen. The link should be in the Sticky Section, if it isn't already there

my apology... I may have missed any warnings... if any to that effect since the Dropbox link site clearly says PUBLIC

I would think they (site or docs) being restricted they should be marked as such in big letters somehow or placed in a limited access category or file for authorized /allowed readers only

IMHO being accessible on the Net as it is, is like being accessible in a public library as are all copywrited books.

I will refrain from posting the link to anyone.

btw

May I suggest using a " Are you aware that ....." intro to any warnings before assuming any wrong intentions on anyone's part. It is a different writing style but just as effective.
