1959 evinrude 35 hp

I just bought this boat, for my four children to go fishing ages 9,11,12,14 all boys, but it needs some work, I need so parts like a gas tank with its gas filter and floter working, this one wont lift the gas, also does anyone know if it needs some type of mix in the gas? any type of help would be great. thanks bossladylr

Bossladylr,Motor uses 24:1 mix with tcw3 rated oil.<br /> Tank should be a twin hose pressure tank.<br /> Motor makes pressure in tank to push gas to motor.<br /> Tank may be fine may just need hoses and connectors repaired.<br /> Ill be back later if someone doesnt help by then. Good lusk.

Whoa guys... A 1959 Evinrude 35 should have a fuel pump and run a single line tank! 18hp on down still used the dual line tanks, but the single line was first used on the 35 beginning in 1958. Assuming we've got the right year on this motor, of course. Can we get the model number posted? The standard (clamshell cowling)1958 Evinrude was the last Big Twin with the dual line tank. The 1958 deluxe 35 (bucket cowling) was the first model offered with the fuel pump. <br />- Scott
