I know this is a long shot, but I’ve read that the 1970’s 10hp engines can be upgraded to a 15hp by using the 15hp carburetor. I was wondering if the same is possible with the 1959. I know there isn’t a 15hp variant, but there is an 18hp. Would this be viable with my motor? I’m not finding any info on it online. Figured it would be worth asking.

Thanks in advance.

Jean de La Fontaine French author wrote about this....centuries ago.

"the frog that wanted to be a beef"

well... it blew up trying :)

joking aside, if you could get an 80% power increase ... it may strain things..... why not hunt down an 18hp

The 18 HP was bigger displacement.-----The best thing you can do is install 1961 to 1963 pistons and connecting rods.----These had a major improvement to a bullet proof needle bearing on the wristpin.
