Two questions on a carburetor rebuild.
1. The solenoid cover is cracked and I cannot find a replacement part. ideas? Is this a big problem?
2. As I removed the float, inlet needle, etc. I put the parts on a towel and saw a tiny washer with the parts. I don't know where it came from, but seems to only fit around the little pin that holds the float.

Ill look through my solenoids, I may have some good used solenoid grommets.

Regarding the washer, it is NOT for inside the carb, likely a linkage pin, etc... outside of the carb.

The solenoid cover really isn't important unless you want originality. And I agree, that washer doesn't belong in the carburetor.

There is a pivot shaft that is near the high speed needle. The lever that is on the pivot shaft did come off, but the parts diagram that I have does not clearly number a washer around this lever. Does that seem like where it came from? i have tried to isolate and number everything in baggies as I take it apart, hate to have a loose part!

Thanks for the help!

Some guys add washers over the years, depending on what type of pin, chunk of wire, etc... they use to hold the linkage on. I wouldn't worry too much about it, your motor wont know the difference if there is a washer there or not! As long as the pin/clip you use stays put.
