This motor came on a boat I purchase a couple of weeks ago. Seller had not used it in 5 years. He started it in a barrel and 2-3 pulls it fired.

I took it on the lake the next day and it ran pretty good but a bit rough.
I read on the forum how to set the slow and fast adjustments which I did but now it is difficult to get started and when it does, doesn't get over half throttle and will not stay running.

I checked the plugs and re-gapped them and replaced the old fuel tank pressure hose which was leaking.
I guess the next step is to rebuild the cab with new gaskets and float.

Where is the best place to buy parts to do the job and what part numbers do I need? Does everything I need come in one rebuild kit?

Any other suggestions of what I should do?

Thanks

Napa has the kit, I think Iboats does too. I am not 100% sure if the kit comes with everything for yours, however all it would be short is on packings for the high n low speed jets.

Check the coils out and make sure the insulation isn't cracked. If they are, then it's likely you're arcin out on the mag plate. I have found that these motors are a lot more responsive if they have new coils in them. I would check this first, before you tear into the carb. It's a good posibility that you're running on one cylinder.
