1957 Evinrude 18 hp need help

Hi guys, I rebuilt the carb on my 18 hp evinrude and converted it to a fuel pump using a 3 line pump (18-7353) and it seems to work fine. The only problem I have is I'm getting a little fuel leaking at the high speed needle adjustment. Its got new packings and I've tightened them down but still getting some fuel leaking. Should I be concerned?

Be sure the old stuff is cleaned out and add some more packing. Tighten the nut until snug, let it sit awhile, or run it a while and then re-tighten. You do not want to leak gas anywhere. Rick
