Folks,

I am new here and appreciate being able to use this very nice forum.

I recently acquired a neglected seahorse. The points were in poor repair and the cam and coils were missing. I replaced the points, plugs, wires codensors and coils and put in a new cam.

There are two wires comming off the coils. I think the green wire is likely a ground. I am not certain what to connect these to... I think one goes to the right of each coil into the lamination block with one screw. It makes sense to me that the other goes to the points. Can anyone advise me of where to run the wires. I enclose a photo.

Thanks,

Frank

Green wire to the points, black wire to screw that holds the coil down (ground).

Thanks bunches.

I guess that I'd attach the green wire to the same screw the condensor is attached to?

Yes, that is correct and position the wire so nothing under there rubs the isulation off the wire too.

FOLKS,

I got it running. It is rather cranky. I think I need to adjust the carbureator and maybe decarborize it.

Thanks
Frank
