Hey guys looking for help.

I have a 56 evinrude sport twin 10, 10012

I took it it a dealer to see if they'd fix it up for me and was straight up told no. I'm looking for good part numbers. Carburetor kits numbers. Heads and gasket numbers, tune up kit numbers, anything and everything you could help me with so I can just do the work myself beings no one wants to touch it...

I would really appreciate any help y'all can give me.

thank you.

Is it running or did you ever had it running? It is possible to fix her up but did you already check if i t is worth saving? Did you do a compression test?
It can run quite in the costs to fix up such an old engine.

You will have to start with the coils if those have never been replaced.

if no major mechanical issues and compression is ok FIX IT UP $125-150 will get you a good engine for less than the tax on a new one.

if compression is ok let's say 75lbs and upwards DO NOT open the cyl head for nothing run it first to see how it goes

no need for new points right away … just inspect and clean then decide condensers may need replacement
but first simply test for good sparks

you can adjust timing to !!

NAPA is a good source. See if they have an old marine catalogue you can have for reference.

Don't forget, our host, iboats, sells parts too. Why go to the competition?

People today appear to support an online shops / lowest price, rather than local dealer.-----I know , I get a few calls from over 1000 miles away solely due to folks searching on line for used parts.
