1956 cadillac aluminum drain plug

I have lost my drain plug for my 1956 cadillac boat, does anyone know where i can find one or does anyone know what will work as a replacement? it is threaded and is a little wider than 1/2 inch. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... My guess is, yer describin' a 1/2" pipe plug,...

Yer local hardware store oughta have 'em in iron, or brass... I'd go with brass....
A boat shop might have bronze...

I had to make one for mine. I used aluminum rod and a die. It's 5/8 X 18 thread count.
