i just purchased a 1951 5 hp sea king by montgomery wards model #15GG-9015 serial #397187 i need to know any info on that engine that you have and where to find parts

i need to see a parts diagram because it is leaking lower end fluid up at where the forward and neutral cable comes throught

sorry about the confsion it leaking at the gearshift lever by the side of the engine through the seal that the cable goes through

You mean up by the engine? If that's so it's just engine exhaust and unburnt fuel/oil. Unfortunately I have no diagram for that. But do try asking over at AOMCI.org. ;)

I do have a '51 lower unit parts list though, so if it is actually the lower unit that's leaking fire me an email at paul.moir@gmail.com

That's one of the most solid little 5 hp's that Gale/OMC ever made. Acme Outboards has a service guide/manual for it, on CD.

so what your saying is that it is just engiene oill out of the hole the cable comes through
