Recently purchased at a garage sale and I want to restore (nameplate data shows serial # 56-7795, 12' SeaScamp). Just wondering where I can get some parts (corner brackets on the stern are broken, transom is rotted, starcraft emblem on the sides are gone and only the rivets remain, etc.) Does this mean the year it was made was 1956? Any recommendations on where I can get spare parts or even if they are available? Thanks much! Mike

:welcome: aboard Mike,

Sounds like a fun project, they are a nice little tinny ripe for a restore. Parts on the other hand are not re-popped and rare as hens teeth, I think you'd have an easier time finding bigfoot but check out Ebay some parts pop up there now and again. Maybe during the work you'll come across something you need or find a way to repair what you have.

Some pics when you can would be great.

Thanks much! Bought some oars and took it for a test spin and no leaks! I may try to create a wax mold and sand-cast the corner support - a fun project. Transom wood will be easy to make and install. I found a place on eBay that makes the metal Starcraft logos I can purchase to rivet to the sides. A little elbow grease and should be good as new! The site won't let me upload pics yet - guess I'm too new!
