I am trying to help a friend put a new head gasket on his 1959 18hp Johnson seahorse. there is a slight water leak on the left side. I have found a head gasket here on iboats but I can not find the torque and tighten sequence. any help is appreciated ps the model # is FD-13

18hp FD models fdl 13-16 book says 8-10ft-lbs for cyl head screws

screw down then work your way around gradulally working up to specs

If at all possible, convert that to 96-120 inch pounds and use an inch pound torque wrench. Much more accurate.
