18 Ft Holiday Measurements

I am still researching which boat to go after, and want to be sure I get one with plenty of fishing room. With that said what are the measurements of the deck area? Width and length (Dash to Stern). Which aluminum models came in a 20 ft? Open Bow?

Thanks,
OC

Re: 18 Ft Holiday Measurements

Anyone? Is there a link to some specs for the 70's boats, or am I too new to the board to get responses? You guys just want to make me sweat it out. :D

Re: 18 Ft Holiday Measurements

The Holiday was a closed bow. The SS or Super Sport was a bow rider.

Specs on a I/O

18' 2" center line and beam was 84" transom height 36" 18 footer

Islander specs

21'1" with a 90" beam transom height 40" 20 footer

I would have to go and measure my cockpit for that measurement, maybe tomorrow.

Hope this helps.

Thanks APPALOOSA2,

I knew the Holiday was a closed bow, but was unsure which models were an open bow. Is an 18ft Holiday a good choice for fishing 4 people?

I can manage 3 comfortably in my own 71' 18' Holiday but 4 is pushing it a little though it can be done...

I would go with a 18 SS supersport open bow if all are casting.

On our local Craigslist I have yet to see a SS, do you know if there is much difference in the hull between a Closed bow and an open? I would consider removing the top of the bow if it would be possible to convert it to an open bow.

OC I think that would be a lot of work. You would need to build the side supports to strengthen the hull sides.
The ads on Craigs list might not say super sport but bow rider or open bow.

i want a 22 supersport i have a 18 ss you can fish 4 to 6 , it matters what kind of fishing you are doing. I know some have opened up the front on holidays
i dont think there is a big differance on design and support if i remember right.

The SS consoles are different than a Holiday, that's where the support comes in.

OC go check it out and offer him 1500.00 or check out bigskiohio SS 18.
