Going to premix and looking to find out what needs to be done to the motion (crank shaft) sensor. It has three wires on the motion sensor Black , Blue-White , and White. My concern is to keep the temp sensor in operational in case of overheating. This motion sensor gives the 4 beeps every two minutes and is not needed due to my premix. Along with this does anyone know the part number for the oil injection bypass or block off kit for this engine ?

First, welcome to iboats.

This package is not in inboard or I/O so very few on this board will provide the help you need. If you repost this in the Mercury Outboard forum, you will get the expertise you need.

Good luck.

Re: 175HP Sport Jet Jazz motion sensor removal

Did anyone in this corrected forum answer this?

I have the same engine, 175xr2 SportJet in a 1997 Sugar Sand Tango jetboat. The prior owner pulled the remote oil tank and all lines/sensors, switching to pre-mix. I did not know a conversion kit existed. Would like to check out what the kit does, looks like, and see if prior conversion was appropriately done.

Any help is appreciated.
