175 johnson advance question

After cleaning the carbs, which did'nt need to be, I noticed that the butterflies are opening before the advance arm reaches the bump stop. Is this where it needs to be, or does the arm need to be rested on the stop before the throttle begins to open?

That's a catch'y poem, but it did'nt answer my question about how to adjust the timing advance, to the throttle. thanks anyway???

if u think it could be your problem try to advance the timming by hand you will see the result
