17.3 FiberKing Bomber 5L V8 - Just purchased

Hey Everyone

I just purchased this used boat Sunday, it works great. Needs some minor repairs on the seets and trailer, but was in great shape overall.

Does anyone here have a similar boat and what is their experience?

I hate to burst your new to you boat bubble, but consider selling said boat. OMC has been out of business since about 1995 or so. Parts for OMC out drives are scarce at best, finding someone to work on one is likely more scarce yet.

I believe you may have a rare sort of animal, as that the best of my research has shown that Fibreking only made one sterndrive bomber of 18 feet (1988), and another called the Vanguard at 19 feet.

I currently run an 89 Marathon that went out of business years ago. Don't be discouraged. older boats have a certain "charm" about them. Mine runs perfect and is a ton of fun. Mercruiser Gen 1 stern drive.
I'm guessing, again, that your motor is probably a small block chevy.
