Hi, new to boating…bought double eagle and want to install electrical downriggers…is there the equivalent of a Haynes manual for boats? Looking for advice on how to wire in downriggers
Thanks, Tobias

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... Just build a separate wiring system, right off the battery,......

The last one I did, I went 10 ga wire off the battery, to a breaker mounted on the stern, 'n a hot lead from it to each downrigger,......
From the grounds, I used 10 ga wire from the battery to a buss bar mounted by the circuit breaker, with a terminal for each downrigger,.....

'n Nope,..... no haynes, nor clymers, nor any other generic manuals for boats,....

Cheers, can I ignore the buss bar and breaker and just run individual circuits to each downrigger to keep it simple? I probably need some female connector too since the Scotty cable terminals in some male twist plug…

You need either a circuit breaker or fuse in line for each down rigger. Otherwise, you get a short and you'll have an instant onboard toaster...where you probably don't want it.
