165HP Inline Six. Keep or part out???

Engine is intact except the coil and alt is missing. Should I strap to a skid and try to sell, or part it out completely. Engine will not run as boat wiring is completely hacked going to the dash. Engine is hardly secured as front motor mounts are rotted thru and have sunk into the floor, transom is completely rotted out.

Being the 165's are so robust, I would think parting it out would be best. Opinions.

I would just try and sell it whole locally. If not, part it out.

The problem with selling it for parts is, you'll still have parts left over, years from now.

Hot wired it today with a tractor coil and it actually runs, although not good. 2 cylinders are low and there is a crack in the block. Sucks to see such a nice engine destroyed by ignorance. At least it will be good for parts. :.(
