165HP Inline Six - 1969 vs. 1978 Interchange / Difference??????

I found a drop in engine from a 1969 boat. The manifold and valve cover appear different than my 1978. Would this engine be compatible. Any parts that are not the same I assume can just be swapped over?

I also understand that I would have to pull the head and update to hardened valve seats? Correct?

Ayuh,... The motors should interchange, no problem...

swappin' heads is up to you...
If there's no other issues, I'd run it til there is...
