Hello all,

Today was my shake down on a 76 Glastron with a 165 mercruiser IL6 and a pre alpha drive.

Most everything went okay with the exception of a low rpm (600-1000) vibration. Smoothed out when the engine turn a faster rate of speed. Any ideas? [I have done a complete tune up on this with the exception of plug wires]

The other problem was when shifting from idle to forward it would sometimes take a while to engage the prop. If I pushed the throttle further down it would hook up. Did not do this every time. Also in reverse it seemed to "slip" a little when in reverse idling. Ideas?

Thanks for your help.

Jim

That Sounds like it might be Skipping,.....
Try pulling the plug wires from the plugs 1 at a time, If 1 Doesn't cause a Change,....
That's the 1......
The other problem was when shifting

That sounds like the Lower Shift Cable is about to Give Up the Ghost,.........
It'll get Worse, til you swap out a New 1.......
