16 ss shift/throttle cable replacement

Can anyone tell me the teleflex part number for the throttle and shift cables for my 72 ss 16 with an 80 horse Mercury? Boat is in storage and I would like to order the cables so I have them to replace when I pick it up. Thanks

I think all you need is the Mfg. which you sa is Telflex and the length of the cable as well as the OB or Io which ever it is And what the motor is. Prop need the ser no off the motor for a correct match. I think you can get the info to order from I-Boats on this forum. They will tell you what you need. The cable will most likley be 13 ft. Standard on a 16 SS

This is the one I ordered for m 72 18' SS with a 115 mercury.

The standard Steering cable for the 16 SS is 13 ft. the controll cables will prob be shorter. Measure from the controll box to the stern and from the stern to the motor for the length.
