I recently purchased a 1997 Glastron outfitted with a 90 Johnson SPL outboard. The prop on the boat is 14'x17" aluminum by Michigan Wheel. I am not looking to move up or down, but rather gain a sense from this community if that prop is correctly sized for my rig. The orginal owner indicated that the boat planes very fast and that is the orginal prop from when the boat was purchased new (boat has approx 70hrs on it).
Thanks in advance for the help/suggestions.
1) Performance issue you are trying to correct.
Looking to validate that the prop on my boat provides the best performance ? RPM, Sking, Tubing.
2) Current prop manufacturer, model, aluminum or stainless and as a minimum.
Michigan Wheel ? 011024 ? Aluminum
3) Current prop diameter and pitch (required).
14?X17?
4) Wide open throttle RPM and speed with an average load (very helpful)
5,000 (best guestimate)
5) Engine/drive make, model, year, and HP
90 Johnson SPL - 1997
6) Boat make model, year, length and weight
1997 Glastron GS160 ? 16? ? 1050lbs
