16 ft trailer guess my weight please

Hello I have a trailer for a 16 ft boat, the trailer reads GATOR TRAILER , I had to get plates for it and needed to get it weighed, I had no choice but to weigh it with the boat still on it, the combined weight for the trailer and boat was 1660 lbs, so I need to know what the average 16 ft single axle boat trailer weighs?.....anybody have any ideas?

about 500 to 750, depending on construction.

I've seen a site on the web somewhere that tells how to determine boat weight by measuring tongue weight, then moving boat back a foot or so on trailer and reweighing boat. Then doing some math using moments, etc. to determine weight of boat. Looked neat but would be a lot of trouble.<br /><br />BL...
