16' fishing boat identification?

I am replacing the transom on an older fishing boat that belonged to my wife's grandfather. It is a very stable v-hull that is a great fishing platform for our lake. Somewhere I have seen the name Viking but when I google it all I find is cabin cruisers. It does have a tag which I assume is the serial number... F-10528. Can anyone tell me anything about this boat, or where I might look to find information on it? I can not post pictures, it says the files are to big, but I have some that I could e-mail someone if interested.

Crestliner made an aluminum boat named Viking.

Found an old registration that said 14" Cherokee, maybe it's the McKenzie Cherokee, however not much info on those either.
