I recently bought a 16.5 2003 rebel and was surprized to see that the trolling motor was not hooked up. I did some wiring and moved the two batteries which were sitting on the floor on the left to a one battery solution and put it in the front storage compartment, now the boat leans, it appears that the batteries were balancing the boat. True? Is there anything I can to to balance it without having the batteries in the way? If I do have to put the batteries back, how do I get wires to them over there?

Hey Mike, welcome to iboats.
Not knowing your boat, do you have a storage compartment on that side?
Yes, I would say that is why it leans now.
If you have a compartment on that side, you could store some stuff there to compensate for the weight.
Again, welcome to iboats.
