Sorry to sound so stupid but it is important.

My 2001 has a small grommeted hole directly in the middle of the cowling on the back of the motor I believe is the exhaust. just started it again today cause goin to Canada with it next week. The hole is spirting out a small bit of water. Is this normal? Just bought the motor and never noticed it before when I ran it.

Thanks
Kevin

I think that is your cooling water telltale outlet, Kevin. It should have a small, but steady stream of water to indicate that the water pump is working.

Thanks JB ....I was talking about hole in the middle were exhaust come out. The water pump (pee hole on the side is pushing a good stream. Was wondering if there was supposed to be hot spirting ffrom that middle hole also.

Thanks
Kevin
