150 wvin to 175 johnson

i have a 175 johnson powerhead good comps across all 6
fresh carbs ,Timeing pointer set static timed at 24%
new ql77 jc4s at 030 , cant get poerhead to start
has good fire
and all wire to coils are correct tan and blue top green and tan bottom tan in center ,its popping like it is out of time the elecronics off a 1981 150
149 cid and fklywheel were used ,
.this bolck is a 1983 the elec off the 1981 150 10 amp should work on this block should work correct its 149 cid .it acting like it is out off time
what should i look for ,thanks bennyb theoretically this motor should run
any suggestions

You have good compression and spark, third ingredient is fuel.

Make sure the carbs are all opening and closing together. Look down the carbs and see if one of the butterflies is open a little with no throttle.

yes good fuel all bowls full ,it s popping a little sounds like it is out of sync ;
havent checked stator ,it was good when on my 150 ,
but with spark tester its showing blue and strong
got me baffeled , flywheel key good timein at 24%
static . its acting like the fireing order may not be correct
but i have it wired by diagram ,may to dva test stator `

ran new comp numbers with snapon gauge from my tech
1 85 2 85 3 85
4 85 5 82 6 85 ,theses numbers were with all plugs out , cold
with just a little premix on the turneover prior comp test nothing was used to pump numbers : It has some hours on it ,but came off my buds bass boat
he had mid sec rot and lower probs so i bought power head,it also has the thick brp low comp gaskets so it looks like they may be a tad low but very equal for cold numbers .in theory it should run well for awhile after good decarb or can of ring free .will probaly use cdi test pdf for elec for ign
cause it will not run anyone with anything throw it out there .

ha found it chaffed wire to stator rub when timer advanced
fixed, hit primer sel for 2 secs while turning over
pulled warm up lever up to mid point hit the key and she fired right up
idleing good but havent sinked missing plastic timer base link piece on order thought ,this one had me baffled thank you all
