I would be helpful to know what part of the world you reside. <br /><br />In many cases you get just what you pay for. There are on-line auction sites and other on-line classifieds that offer Merc V-6 powerheads...but I think you'd be wise to purchase one from a reputable source in order to get some assurance it's no worse than the one you're replacing. Again though, your options may greatly depend on where you live. Good luck! Walt

I don't know why, but I just assumed you were looking to buy a used powerhead. Guess I equate inexpensive with used...<br /><br />I know it pays to look around. My local Merc dealer (bless their hearts) wanted an arm and a leg for a set of exhaust maifolds for my V-8. (I think Page needed a new Mercedes). Anyway, I got online and found a source in Tacoma, Washington that saved me almost $200 and THEY paid for the shipping directly to my house. Not all dealers have the same mark-up...that's for certain! Shop around a little and you may save a lot! Walt
