Honda already has a 130hp, and they say a 225hp is very very near. Heavy engines though, and heavy on the pocketbook!

Thanks kev, I've been talking with dealers on these
would you push a 19' grady white tornament with the 130 honda? It would replace a 175 johnson.
I'd hate to purchase a 130 only to hear next season the 150 came out.

better wait, unless your Johnson isn't running. Have you checked the direct injected 2 strokes. In the articles I read, they actually get better fuel economy than 4 strokes. Check Howstuffworks.com if you wanna know exactly how direct injection works. Every thing I have read or heard says that they are very reliable also, and will be much lighter than the 4 stroke, but 4 stroke will always have upper hand on reliability.

Both Honda and Yamaha recently introduced their 225 hp four strokes. You know Merc and Suzuki can't be far behind with their high horsepower models.

Weight and fuel economy of 4S vs. 2S sparks a lot of debate in here. Many who've replaced their mid horsepower 2S with a comparable 4S are claiming nearly twice the fuel economy.

Good luck in your decision...

Walt
