150 four stroke noise when shifting

when shifting into forward or reverse hear clunking sound, is this normal for yamaha ?

Are you talking about in the water or on the trailer, sometimes on the trailer with a stainless prop you will hear a almost ratcheting sound.

Every outboard I've ever owned has made some sort of noise when going into gear weather it be a clunk or the ratcheting. The ratcheting is usually caused by not putting it in gear fast enough. Unless it seams unusually loud or "hard" sounding, I'd say it's normal.
